2.3.2012: We have a new telephone exchange! Whilst we still aim for a nurse to answer your call in person within 40 seconds, if this is not possible, you can now either wait on the line or leave us a voicemail message (as well as being able to leave us messages outside of working hours). We return all calls (to numbers in the Czech Republic). The system speaks English as well as Czech, of course.
2.1.2012: Dr. Dana Konfrštová is joining our team. Dr. Konfrštová is an experienced general physician (internist) and joins us from Motol Hospital, where she deputised for her consultant in his absence. From 1st February she replaces Dr. Tomáš Jedlička, who is moving to Brno and will be working at the address Běloruská 2, Brno, in a general practice that he will take over in the spring of 2012. Dr. Jedlička has a strong following among our patients and is an excellent doctor, but we are confident that Dr. Konfrštová is a more than adequate replacement. We are no longer recruiting for another general practitioner.
22.10.2011: Please accept our apologies if you were unable to reach us by telephone in the second half of last week. We had some technical problems (associated with moving to a new public internet adress for the VOIP service that we use). These have now been resolved and service restored to normal.
19.9.2011: We are now vaccinating against flu! Most patients will have to pay for this (see our price list) but those with Czech public health insurance above the age of 65 or suffering from certain medical conditions are eligible for vaccination free of charge.
29.8.2011: We are recruiting a general practitioner, ideally initially part time moving to full time during the course of 2012. For more details (in Czech only) click here.
22.7.2011: Today we have discovered that one third of our patients are not Czech. The largest group is from the USA, then the UK, with Slovakia in third place. And then from 63 other countries - so we have patients from one third of all the states on the globe!
13.12.2010: The times set aside for telephone consultations have moved to 1-2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
5.11.2010: We now have the systems in place to provide care to holders of European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC)!
29.9.2010: Our online registration system saves you time by providing your basic contact data etc. in advance. The English language version is now operational!
13.9.2010: Czech language version of online registration system operational.
1.9.2010: Surgery opened!
We are currently working hard on an internet booking system, so that you can input your requirements and choose from the available booking slots. We expect the system to go live before the end of this year.
